Let me tell you about this sweet family. They contacted me over the summer for a family session when they were going to be visiting Virginia Beach from Lynchburg in the beginning of September. The weekend they were supposed to come visit we got a hurricane. I know how badly mama wanted these pictures of her adorable family, so I suggested we meet halfway in Richmond in October. We scheduled the session and the day of the session, Richmond got some heavy rain.
So then we rescheduled AGAIN for the beginning of December. Mother Nature must have been holding out on us because we got the most perfect fall afternoon. Beautiful golden light. Cool but not cold temps. And we found a location in Richmond we both adored.
Their perfect baby girl was so much fun to photograph (and chase!) and I’m pretty sure she should be modeling.
Family pictures are so, so important you guys. I know there are times where us as mothers are so hard on ourselves and don’t want to be in the pictures, but look what gets captured when you DO get them done. Your children will look back on these in years to come and be so thankful you have these memories.
