This cake smash was a very special one for me. My little Godchild in New Jersey turned one years old last month and we celebrated him and all the awesomeness he is with a first birthday cake smash. Me and this little guy’s mother have been friends for 26 years. That’s a long time. We have books and books of memories, it’s pretty special. We’ve been through life together and I was pregnant with both of my children when she was pregnant with her two oldest children. How awesome is that? And now I am the Godmother of her little guy!
He’s really not so little though, at birth he was 10 pounds, 7 ounces and 22 inches long. At his first year appointment he was 31 pounds and 34 inches long. Yes, he is quite up there in percentile and it is all 31 pounds of perfection. We love us some solid babies!
We choose a lightly themed nautical cake smash in honor of Aj’s late grandfather (whom he is named after), who served in the Navy. It was so very sweet and Mr. AJ LOVED his cake. Literally. He was picking it up with his feet.
