We all know my favorite session is the first birthday session complete with the cake smash. It’s such a fun way to celebrate that first year of life. The first smile, the first crawl, the first step, the first giggle and then…the first cake!
All cake smashes start with some family shots and then we change it up and switch over to the cake smash. When planning this session with mom, we knew we wanted to incorporate his favorite, Cookie Monster, into the mix. With a cake done by Ruffle Your Cakes Cakery, this cake smash was full of love, smiles, laughter, Cookie Monster and A LOT of cake eating.
Baby R was so completely content during his session. He loves his parents (who were seriously the nicest people), his doggies and he def likes cake!
When capturing these first birthday sessions, I smile at how each little person that gets in front of my camera is different. How these now almost one year olds have a growing personality and how completely lucky I am that I get to capture it all.
