Before I even get into this blog post, I am already teary eyed. Five is big. Five is such a milestone age. It’s that saying goodbye to toddler years and entering a different realm of childhood. Goodbye preschool, hello kindergarten.
So, my little Boo turns five. How did this happen? Where did the past five years go? And where are the tissues because I am super sensitive to this subject right now…
When she was born she was little bits and pieces of everything she is now. Curiosity. Sensitivity. Sassiness. Kindness. Her willingness to learn and try anything. She started walking at nine months. I mean walking, walking. It was kind of crazy. I knew right then that her will to do what SHE wanted to do was fully in her power. And I knew she could and would conquer anything that comes her way.
I am so blessed that God has chosen ME to be her mother. Blessed to have this free spirit in my life. Blessed to call her my “little boo.”
She loves her family and friends so much. She has a heart of gold and would literally give you the shirt off of her back if you needed it. No really. One time this winter I made a comment that I was freezing and she started taking her shirt off saying “Here, take my shirt..”….I had to explain to her A) Mommy wouldn’t fit in her shirt. And B) Don’t take your clothes off in public places…..But that is her. Thoughtful. Thinking of others and genuinely wanting to help.
And now, she is five.
I thought for her fifth birthday, I would do a little Q&A, that she would answer. This is all in her own words.
