A couple months ago, I went out to San Diego to go see my best friend and meet her son. Her baby. My Godchild. If you have followed along and read my blog about her maternity session, you know why this was so special. If you didn’t, check out this BLOG .
First off, let’s just talk about how amazing San Diego is. The weather. The food. The beach is EVERYWHERE. The landscape. The beer. The uplifting spirits of everyone out there. It’s a pretty awesome place and this was my 5th trip out that way and it certainly didn’t disappoint and definitely won’t be the last.
But this time was different. After 30 years, I was getting to see my best friend…as a MOM! She had a son! I had a new Godchild! Life is good.
Let’s talk about sweet Oliver. This little boy is everything strong, adorable, smart and full of love. He has a smile that literally will light up your day and a stare so intriguing you are dying to know what he is thinking.
He was just shy of 5 months when I went out there. Becoming more familiar of his surroundings. Obsessed with his mama and dada, like he should be. I got to witness him roll over for one of the first times. And I was by his side as he was baptized. Little moments. It is what matters.
The best part, the new found love within my best friend. She was a mom. A mother to a sweet little boy. Her and her husband were parents. That is happiness.
Maybe it was irony that I was out there for International Day of Happiness. But it was the perfect fit for a happy time.
I love these guys so much. I am SO ecstatic Oliver is here. And I am so happy to share these special moments with you all.
