I’ve photographed a lot of people here in Virginia Beach who have come from around the country visiting. Georgia. Ohio. Missouri. Illinois. California. It’s always so much fun to meet people from all over the place and be able to capture special times and help hold those memories for them. Whether it was a family session, some vacation lifestyle or a vow renewal.
When one of my clients contacted last month to do a session with her family visiting from Shanghai, I was stoked! That’s so awesome! Someone from the other side of the world, wants me to take their photos?! I wasn’t sure if I was able to do the session because of when I was traveling, etc, but we made it work and I was really happy we did. I love these guys and I was so excited to be able to capture the memories of having sister and sister together, with their children. Cousins playing. Grandparents with their grandkids. The holidays. That’s what it is all about right?
The day we planned our session, it was cold, rainy…so unfavorable. So we rescheduled for after Christmas since they were in town for a few weeks. The day came, AGAIN, mother nature likes to give me a hard time and again cold, rainy, COLD! I think as a photographer and artist, part of our job is to roll with what is given to us, in any situation and make it work and work well.
With time of the essence and eagerness to get this session done, we opted for an indoor session at my clients home (a gorgeous home I might add). We had some fun with different spots in the house, utilizing her front porch and throwing a little lifestyle in there as well. I am so happy with the outcome. And am SO excited I was able to capture this special time of being together for these guys.
Check out some of my favorites from their session! Looking forward to a couple more sessions we have lined up this year with these guys!
