In between all the craziness of life and “go go go”, it’s a session like this that makes me step back, take a deep breathe and realize how precious time and moments are. They make me humble and smile. I love and adore the heartwarming feeling of a homecoming.
A couple weeks ago, I had the opportunity to photograph the USS Nitze homecoming for a really awesome family. It was gone for 8 months and many of the men and women leaving behind families and small children. Rick returned home to his wife and daughter, who has grown A LOT since he left. The reunion was fabulous and as always, I cried….all through the lens of my camera.
Here is what I captured. Welcome home Rick!
