Oh sweet, sweet summer time. Which for a lot of families means vacation time, which for me means BUSY season. I kicked off my Sandbridge sessions this summer with this sweet family who traveled here to Virginia Beach for their vacation. A perk of being a Virginia Beach family photographer is capturing all the families who travel this way on vacation and trust in me to capture their moments.
This was also their first custom family session! We got a magic hour sunset beach session in and it could not have been more perfect. When you have littles and do a session with me, they run the show. I am NOT a “sit in front of the camera and say cheese” photographer. I embrace those little not-so-perfect moments, because when you look back on them in years to come, those are the moments that are real and ARE perfect. Those are the moments we remember.
I loved capturing real, organic moments. Throw in salty air, a magic glow and a fun-loving family and that is a great day of work in my book. This family was so great and I really connected with them on so many levels. I love when it all “clicks”.
