Cozy, intimate, relaxed, organic….those are a just a few words I use to describe a lifestyle newborn session. Those first days at home with baby are not like any other. Adjusting to the new schedule. Baby adjusting to its new environment outside the womb. If siblings are involved, them adjusting to this new little one in their space.
A few years back I made the switch to shoot solely lifestyle newborn session and sold 85% of my props for posed newborn sessions. I truly just enjoy being able to capture those organic moments in the new days.
This family radiates “family vibes”. The sweetest big brother and loving parents paired with a new bundle of joy. Little man did amazing at his lifestyle newborn session and we got all the cuddly shots I love. Even their fury family member took part, which I absolutely love.
Sessions like these can be tricky. You don’t know the temperament of baby that day, or when there is a toddler involved, the temperament of them either…but they swung through their session with such grace and it’s definitely one for the books.
