I had such a great two weeks when I went to NJ end of June/beginning of July. I love the summertime in NJ. The weather is just right and we get to spend time at one of my favorite places ever, our family beach house on the Jersey Shore. It’s in Lavalette, which is the best little gem in NJ. A small town with the the prettiest beaches I have ever seen on the east coast. The beach house has been in our family since the 60s. It’s small. It’s old. But it has such character, but even more so.. a ton of memories.
I have always wanted to do a session at our little happy place and what better way to do my first session in Lavalette than with this sweet family. I photographed Nicole and her crew a couple years ago and we booked this session back in December! I was thrilled she was willing to take the trip down and explore this beautiful beach with her family. Photographing another photographer always makes me nervous, but naturally Nicole and her family rocked their session and made my job easy.
Their vibe and true family warmth lit up the beach that evening and I am so happy they allowed me to capture their memories. Races on the beach. Sea shell throwing. Walks along the shoreline. And dances at the ocean break. A perfect Jersey Shore family session.
