There are three reasons why this session was awesome.
One – Dad just got home from a seven month deployment and had all his girls with him to celebrate his homecoming. We all know how tough deployments can be for all, so to be able to capture these guys being all together again was totally awesome.
Two – The girls planned this session! All by themselves! I thought that was the sweetest thing, they wanted to capture their time with their dad since it was so special. Girls after my own heart!
Three – We had snow you guys! Snow! When it snows in Hampton Roads, the area shuts down. Literally. We actually planned this session for the day after the snowstorm hoping we would still have the gorgeousness of freshly fallen snow. Although it was a high of 20 degrees that day, windy and still very icy out. We stuck with our plan and made our way to Chesapeake for a sweet little family mini session capturing these guys being together again. We did this session in less than 15 minutes. So well worth those 15 minutes of being brutally cold.
I love how this captured the joy this family has for each other. I’ve photographed this family quite a few times and each session is as pure as the next with these sweet girls.
I loved this snow session out in Chesapeake, VA! And I am glad I got to do one. But now can we fast forward to spring?! ; )
