Does anyone in the Hampton Roads area remember when it didn’t rain…like every single day? Yea, I know. Me neither! Being a photographer, this weather is one of the worst case scenarios with a booked calendar. So this session I am about to introduce to you was done on a VERY dreary and rainy day in Virginia Beach. This rainy day photo session was able to be done because of the location we used, a willing and eager family and lots of love and laughter.
I met this beautiful family about a year and a half ago when mama contacted me for a first birthday cake smash for her little one. We immediately hit it off and I have done photo sessions and another milestone birthday session for them since. I ADORE them. They are seriously one of the sweetest and most genuine families I have the pleasure of working with.
We were completely crunched for time on this session. There were flights to be caught the next morning and a Dad who was deploying for seven months in another week. No time for rainy days. So we made it happen. That’s right, Mother Nature, we win!
I am so happy with how the session turned out, I know Mom was happy too when I delivered the gallery and again, so super thankful I am able to give this gift of memories to this family. Thinking of all of them as they endure a long deployment but knowing how strong they are and the bond they have will get them through.
