One of my favorite sessions is the cake smash. Celebrating the first year of life really is so exciting and I love when parents want to do something special like this for their first birthday.
A couple months ago, I was contacted by this sweet little boy’s mama in regards to a cake smash session. We were both really excited to get started on designing and planning his first birthday cake smash session. When she told me he was having a Star Wars themed birthday party, naturally….I knew we had to do a Star Wars themed cake smash!
I have to be honest. I have never seen Star Wars. I know, I know I can hear all the “Whaatttttt’s!” now. But in my defense I am a really bad movie person. Like really bad. My husband has seen them all, my son has watched them…so they totally helped me in planning this one ; ) And Google. That guy Google is amazing!!
I didn’t want to go overboard on Star Wars, but I wanted to keep it classy, cool. And the CAKE!! I have to give huge props to my cake artist who is pretty amazing! Thanks Jess!
This little guy was SO much fun to work with. The little faces and smiles he would make, totally made my morning! And I loved meeting mom and dad too! We had a great morning and Sam’s Star Wars Cake Smash was a success!
